What do I want to say? lol (lift vs climb)
After days of typing all these, it is only now when I have realized that the term “lift” should not be mistaken for “climb”. They are two different terms. When we say lift, we are referring to the ability of the aircraft to maintain itself on air; and when we say climb, we are referring to ascending or descending movement of the aircraft. Lift is provided by the shape of the airfoil (which is designed using the Bernoulli’s Principle) while the climb is attained by controlling the elevators attached at the trailing edge of the aircraft horizontal stabilizer.
I got low grade on one of my exams in our Aerodynamics class because I used them interchangeably so don’t you do the same! *hehe..
