What are Elevators?

Elevators are hinged parts located at the rear of each horizontal stabilizer. They always move in same direction. So when the right aileron deflects upwards, the left also deflects upwards. Elevators are the ones responsible for the pitch movement of the airplane and could be controlled by either a control wheel or a control stick located in the cockpit.
